    Reconnect and Rebuild
Bangladesh is entering a new era of innovation and opportunity. Over the past decade, the startup ecosystem has grown into a vibrant hub—creating over 1.5 million jobs, attracting USD 940+ million in investments, and driving meaningful socio-economic change through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Across the globe, more than 10 million Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) are contributing to economies worldwide—sending home over USD 24 billion in remittances every year. They hold what Bangladesh needs: global networks, capital, expertise, and international exposure. However, their participation in the nation’s innovation journey has remained limited.
Introducing SBL NRB Connect
SBL NRB Connect is a platform that connects Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) with Bangladesh’s startup and innovation ecosystem. It enables NRB investors, professionals, and founders to co-invest in startups, join venture funds and accelerators, mentor founders, and build or scale businesses in Bangladesh.
The platform also supports local startups by providing access to investment, mentorship, global networks, export opportunities, and strategic guidance. Ecosystem enablers—such as incubators, accelerators, venture studios, universities, angel networks, and government bodies—can collaborate with NRBs to strengthen infrastructure, policies, and innovation capacity.
SBL NRB Connect creates a two-way bridge—uniting global Bangladeshis and local innovators to build a stronger, smarter, and future-ready Bangladesh.
Solutions We Provide
SBL NRB Connect offers comprehensive support to connect NRBs with Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem. In finance, we facilitate curated startup deals, co-investment and matching fund opportunities, LP participation, and philanthropy-based partnerships. In knowledge, we enable webinars, mentorship programs, MOOC collaborations, and co-founding involvement. Our network extends through roadshows, exclusive summits, community gatherings, and regional hubs to foster meaningful connections.
On the operational and infrastructure side, we provide one-stop assistance for company registration (Holdco and OpCo), taxation, compliance, deal structuring, and digital facilitation. Startups and partners also benefit from co-working spaces, repatriation support, and policy or tax incentives. Additionally, we focus on emotional and legacy value by offering recognition, awards, promotion, and impact storytelling to honor contributions to Bangladesh’s growth.
