Dhaka, September 1, 2025 — Startup Bangladesh Limited, the only government-owned venture capital company under the ICT Division, proudly announces the appointment of Mr. Nurul Hai as its new Managing Director.
With over 16 years of experience in venture capital, impact funds, asset management, and banking across Asia, East Africa, and the Caribbean, Mr. Hai brings a strong strategic vision and global perspective to Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem. Prior to joining Startup Bangladesh, he served as Vice President at the Washington D.C.-based Small Enterprise Assistance Fund (SEAF), where he successfully led investments, portfolio strategies, and sustainable growth initiatives for startups across emerging markets.
Mr. Hai is committed to accelerating innovation, creating youth employment opportunities, and fostering a more inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive startup ecosystem in Bangladesh. Sharing his vision, he said, “True transformation happens when speed meets responsibility. We aim to build a robust pipeline where founders scale with clarity and transparency, while investors achieve timely and profitable exits.”
